Well everyone, I'm off. I will be serving in New Jersey for the next 18 months teaching Spanish to those amazing people. I can't wait to be an instrument in the Lord's hands as he works through me to bring the Gospel to those who are ready. This Church is true and it's a gift to be shared. I'd like to leave you with a quote by President Monson that can help all of us as we strive to obey our Father in Heaven.
Ours is the task to be fitting examples. We are strengthened by the truth that the greatest force in the world today is the power of God as it works through man. If we are on the Lord’s errand, brethren, we are entitled to the Lord’s help. Never forget that truth. That divine help, of course, is predicated upon our worthiness. Each must ask: Are my hands clean? Is my heart pure? Am I a worthy servant of the Lord? (Pres. Monson May 08 Ensign)

The starting line
Well people, my time has almost come... not to die... just to go on a mission! And I thought I'd take a second to let you know a little about the people that I love cause preparing for a mission has made me very cranky, emotional and grateful. No one wants to hear about the first two so I'll stick with the last one ;) Disclaimer... don't comment on my blog about how I forgot you. I love lots of people and you're always in my heart. I'll never let go... ;) oh also - there's lots of pictures so if that doesn't suite you then just look at someone else's blog.
The fam! Parents - you've always been a strength. All the good I do I owe to you!
Star: a shining example of how I want to be and one of my most favorite best friends!!! (not pictured - Michael Kay - a marvelous part of the fam!)
B: the spice of the fam. He brings a fresh style to life and has the biggest heart ever!
Chaser: a fellow missionary, I owe my ROCKHARD abs to this guy!
Lou: as we all know she is the prize child, but what some of you may not know is she has a little sass in her yet! I intend to keep working to break that out ;) She's the sweetest person, other than my mother, that I know.
Paigey poo: This girl is DANG smart and she has awards to prove it! She strengthens all of us and looks out for every family member. I can't wait to see how she'll grow.
Asher basher: if you know anything about me you know that this is the man in my life. He lights up my days and I feel like he's always been in the fam. He also brings up our IQ .
EMJ: Thank goodness for adoption. We met in Heaven and the rest is history. She is my BFF, my comrade, my sister and soon to be heath care professional.
G ma and Pa: They started this whole thing ;) Both Grandparents - Mann and Hix - are amazing examples. I've watched them all serve a number of faithful missions. They helped me grow up and I hope I can make them proud!
Whit (and all Barringtons): I don't know if I could have done this without you. You gave me the strength and advice I needed to believe I could do this at MY AGE (eek). PS she's crazy talented people and her baby is darling and her hub is real cool.
She: dances on the tramp, made up games, Mickey Mouse Club, movies, plays/musicals, dress-up, Nancy Drew, hide in the dark, threats of the garage, beach, boys and friends. You were a major part of my growing up and I think I might have turned out alright ;) it was touch and go for a while. Thank you for always laughing with me! (I love all Jacob and Lila Menke's as well - oh and little Daisie, or you could spell it with a Z. that could be cute - Dazie).
I do have to say that my whole family is amazing both sides. They are so full of talent, personality, humor, love and all other things that are great. I loved living in UT where I was able to see them more often. I learned so much from little conversations here and there. I appreciate so much the Gospels plan of Eternal Families cause heaven is gonna be one BIG FAT PARTY for me!
Sis. Halls: She's just an amazing person and taught me so much when I was in Young Womans, that was probably a huge irritating time for her :)
THE FEW: all favorites. the few will prevail. 18months is NOTHING. The company and all it's subsidiaries will remain intact. Ty - elementary, middle, high school, college, life - you've been there.
Mr. and Mrs. Price: constant friends and loves. Kayti - living with you was a joy (I'm sure Jaydi would agree), you know I love you. Jaydi - you keep it fun and you love my friend, I couldn't ask for more.
Rockwoods: you know who you are. You're beautiful inside and out. Thank you for letting me into your home and allowing me to feel of your Spirits. I seriously look like a midge in this pic.
Terrorist: you're a sneaky little wench, but life without you wouldn't be worth it! LUFFF EWWWW!
Bets (and Ry and Oli): you bring me joy. I love to be with you. I love the perspective you bring to life and the people in it. I love that I didn't love you at first ;) I love that after all this time and distance you're still my best.
girlies: Lo - your laugh and voice can be heard for miles, but you always have something wonderful to say so who cares. Kay kay - I've never gotten more compliments from anyone than I have from you and always on the days I need them most. Boo - bwwwwaaaahhh hhhaaa! I'll never forget the times we shared ;) HSM forever! Kiley: so sweet and the easiest person to room with. She giggled in her sleep - what's not to love? and the newest - not pictured - Ms. Lisa, oh how I wish I could be with you always and sleep in your comfortable bed. stay sweet KIT ;)
Stanley: You cannot be described in any other way then SPECTACULAR - I just love you.
also (sorry I don't have pics) I love all my BYU-I girls. MJ - I wish I was more like you, always the coolest girl I knew with the hottest body. Mags - the travel bug, I've lived a million lives through your experiences, thank you for sharing. Lissa - you could cheer anyone up with your hugs and cheer routines ;). Rach - you always keep me guessing, it makes life a fun game. Liney - the motivation I never had, who needs it when I have a friend like you?and George: I love your outbursts of craziness. There was never a dull moment and I love that (Pop a squat). the boys: I loved that you were always around and when you weren't we could make you come over. winter, brown and Sipho - happy days!
Amers: you have a way of making people feel loved and remembered. Thank you for sharing your testimony with me - it's strengthens mine (needed in this life).
The Davies: watching the two of you is like watching a Disney movie - I wouldn't have it any other way. Syd down for anything and Tim the brightest crayon in the box. SD is in for a treat!
Lukaleli: I let you get away with way too much, but I can't help it. Thanks for being my friend, it's not easy. PS whenever I talk to you I always end up laughing and I love to laugh :)
KBT and BS: I'm not that funny, but you two make me feel HILARIOUS! Thanks for always laughing. KBT - you're my absolute favorite to sing with thanks for everything and BS - YOU ARE SOO STRONG!
LAlie - thank heavens we were introduced or my life would be missing something wonderful. You are such a kind soul, I've enjoyed feeling of the love that you share. (yay for garmies)

James H. Aida (Asian, The): I love that you're 1/2 Asian and I love that you are my friend. You so often allow me to see the other side of things. Thank you for expanding my view and listening to my horribly executed stories. And to the Villans as a whole - you know I love you!
Jess: You are such a wonderfully strong person. I look up to you for so many reasons. You are a precious friend of mine.
Sister Filio: My newest temple buddy. You have so many talents that I've been lucky enough to benefit from, blessings for that!
Elizarae J: Love this girl! I couldn't have asked for a better example of what it means to be a member of our Church. She sees life through the eyes of a true believer, how much I've learned from knowing her.
Kellie Jo: you always made presidency meetings bearable with your sweet self. Thank you for opening up my heart. Also - Moni: best pres ever and a great example of magnifying callings, she really does love everyone. Linds: a love of life that is unmatched by many - it brings an exciting element to anything and everything.
HB Clan: you know who you are - It's been so great to know all of you. Each of you has affected my life for good in one way or another. In heaven we'll watch the tape and count the ways, but for now I'll just say thank you.

U G L Y you ain't got no alibi
YOU UGLY!
So my roommate Erin and I have wanted to have a contest for some time now on who is uglier. Understand that the goal is to win UGLIEST! Since we could not come to a conclusion on our own, we are looking for your personal opinions to help us in our quest. Since we don't have much time I ask that you cast your vote and leave it in the comment section - LAST DAY TO VOTE WILL BE FRIDAY, JUNE 13TH! We will announce a winner soon after. When looking at the below pictures please try to take into consideration the complexity of the facial distortion. We don't need bias votes people - WE NEED THE TRUTH! Although I would like to walk away with the trophy, I have seen Erin's work and she does have talent. Lets just see if it's enough! Thank you for your participation ;)

And then there were three
I like to do my posts in clumps, give everyone some good reads... if you know what I mean :) So here's the last one for this group.
We have the best activities in my ward. I won't go into detail about the great one's we've had, but this past weekend we had Pierside Idol. It was so good. It was just like American Idol only BETTER! I wasn't able to take that many pictures because I was in character as Paul Abdul. Apparently it worked out for me. Who knew drunk and unintelligent was so easy a role to play? Anyways, it was a whole lot of fun.

I FINALLY went to Wicked this last week with my family. It was AMAZING! So fun to watch, listen to and see, you all should go. We got there just before they closed the doors and got yelled at for taking a picture, or two, inside before the show... but who doesn't love a little excitement like that? DEFYING GRAVITY!!!!!! oh so good!
